China passes “Opinions on Further Strengthening Plastic Pollution Control”

People's Daily, September 9, 2019: The 10th meeting of the central committee for deepening overall reform pass the “Opinions on Further Strengthening Plastic Pollution Control”. This meeting points out that it should establish a new development concept, orderly prohibit and restrict the production, sale and use of some plastic products, promote recyclable and easily degradable substitute products, increase the supply of environmental friendly products, standardize the recycling of plastic waste, establish and perfect the management system in plastic production, use and recycle, and effectively control plastic pollution.
